REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN!
1. Open up new image – 750 x 750 – transparent background.
2. Create new layer - fill with foreground White #ffffff
3. Open up tube - copy and paste onto your canvas - resize to 40% - sharpen. Rename layer as 'Witch'.
4. In your kit, go to the frames folder and choose 'Frame 3' - copy and paste unto canvas -
move beneath 'Witch' layer.
5. Go to Image - Rotate - Free Rotate - Select 90 degrees - Direction 'Left' - and uncheck the boxes beneath.
Click 'OK'.
6. Resize frame to 75% - sharpen - reposition as seen on finished tag. Rename layer as 'Frame'.
7. From kit, choose Paper 6 - resize to 500 x 500 - sharpen. Copy and paste beneath 'Frame' layer.
8. Using your selection tool, freehand, feather - 0, draw a rectangle around the frame. Keeping your paper layer
highlighted, go to 'Selections' on your menu bar - Invert - and then hit the delete key. Selections - Select None.
9. We are going to focus on creating a backgound scene within the frame, so going back to your kit, select Elements
7, 29, 38, 43, 42, and 40. Resize all down to 55% and position as seen in tag. Sharpen.
10. Once all your elements are arranged, highlight your frame layer. Using your freehand selection tool, draw around
the frame. Go to Selections - Invert - and then begin deleting all the excess elements sticking out of the frame.
Selections - Select None.
11. Now apply a shadow to each of the layers within the frame with the settings: 3, 0, 70, 7. Merge all your elements
in a single layer. Duplicate the layer. Click on duplicated layer, choose the overlay mode option. Click Ok. Merge
both layers. Now merge down with paper layer. Rename this all as 'Scene'.
12. Open up Element 1. Resize to 50%. Sharpen and position above frame layer. Carefully erase top of safety pin. Apply
drop shadow: 3, 2, 70, 7. Repeat drop shadow.
13. Open up Element 7. Resize to 50%. Sharpen and position as seen in tag. Apply drop shadow if needed.
14. Arrange all other elements as seen on tag, keeping resize at about 45%-55%. Remember to sharpen your elements once
resized, and apply drop shadow.
15. Once satisfied with your element placement - select Paper #1 - resize to 750 x 750 - sharpen and place on layer
right above your white background. Apply mask provided or use any of your own.
16. From kit choose Element 35 - copy and paste above masked layer. With your eraser tool, erase the edges. Apply drop
shadow.
17. From kit select either word art - for this tag, I used WA 1 - resize by 45% - sharpen - place as seen on tag.
18. For an extra finishing touch, duplicate your 'Witch' layer. Highlight your duplicated layer and select the 'Soft
Light' blend mode. Merge both witch layers and apply drop shadow.
19. Apply your copyright information. I use the font 'FFF Harmony' for mine.
20. Now you can write your name on the tag. Font used is called 'Burton's Dreams' - you can use any font of choice.
21. Save and you're all set! :)
