Hallo, Taggers!
Here's a quick little tutorial for you today.

It's simple, easy, and there's a potential for so many fantastic results.

P.S: Please note that this tag/tutorial was made in Photoshop.

However, the same methods can be applied to PaintShop, so no 

need to panic! :D 

Tube of Choice or Egypt

Paper of Choice from Scrapkit (preferably with colors to match your tube)

Stamps of Choice or Vintage Stamps 3

Mask of Choice or Flag Accents

Animation of Choice or Pack 162 (Optional)

Font of Choice

 

[REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN]

 

1. Open canvas in your program. Mine was 850 x 850. You can choose to have a white background, or start off with a transparent background and then have a new layer and fill with white.

 

2. Open up your tube of choice, copy and paste unto your canvas. 

 

3. Re-size and reposition in the middle of your canvas.

 

4. Duplicate the tube and then mirror it. If you're in PS, you will have to adjust so both tubes are aligned evenly. Again, make sure it's in the center of your canvas.

 

5. Pick a mask of your choice. Copy and paste this mask in a new layer beneath your tubes. Resize as needed.

 

6. Open your paper from the scrap kit. Copy and paste as new layer above your mask.

 

7. If you're in PS, create clipping mask, so the paper is now attached to the mask and now merge layers.

 If in PSP, you can load up your mask and apply your paper layer to it. 

8. Now go to your tube layer and, if in PS, create clipping mask, so it's now attached to your paper-mask. If in PSP, erase edges of tube, so it fits just within the mask. 

9. Apply a shadow of choice to the tube to give it some depth. 

(fun tip: you can duplicate your tube layer and use a blending mode - I tend to use Soft Light - to make it 'pop' a little more)

10. For finishing touches, you can now apply your stamps, of choice, as a new layer below the mask (resize of course), or apply on top of the tube and mask, but be sure to play around with blending modes - overlay, soft light etc. If your stamps have a lot of text blocking the tube's face, you can always erase that area. 

11. Now apply your text of choice to the tag and copyright information and you're done!

You can now add your animations to wherever you want on the tag.
